Honey vintages
The honey was harvested in the year listed on the bottle tag. If some bottles don't have tags, its because they didn't seem to suit the bottle design, but the honey is usually from the current year's harvest. The harvest occurs in September when the bees have finished gathering nectar; it is bottled immediately.
Because the honey has a vintage, there is a possibility that the supply of honey will be gone before the next harvest is ready. However, with a little persistence one can usually find a shop somewhere that will have a supply of Johnston Honey!
Johnston Honey is like a premium wine - selected for district and vintage!
